![]() We live in one of only 14 Dark Night Sky areas in the whole world - so taking part in the CPRE/Countryside Charity's Star Count from this Saturday 6-14 February should cheer us up. All you need to do is count how many you can see in the constellation Orion - he with the belt and sword and always visible in our hemisphere, at this time of year towards the south. One of the brightest of all stars, Rigel is blue-ish and bottom right from his 'belt' of three stars. The notorious Betelguese is also very bright and top left from the belt.
